Our Story

Israel is one of the oldest wine producing areas in the world. Many ancient wine presses, dating back more than a thousand years, can be still found.

In the 1880s Baron Edmond de Rothschild – owner of the world famous Chateau Lafite – decided to finance the planting of the first modern vineyards in Israel, importing grape varieties from Europe and bringing to the land the best French experts.

In the last two decades, Israel has seen the growth of an impressive number of new boutique wineries. Internationally trained wine makers have returned home to use some of the most advanced technology to create world-class wines.

Today, Israel is achieving international recognition for its wines winning prestigious awards in international wine competitions.

Produced on a small scale, these hidden gems reflect the culture and personality of the land and its producers.

32°-34° Wines is unique in bringing these boutique wines from this emerging region to the UK.
