The award winning SPHERA WINERY located in the Judean Hills surrounding Jerusalem is owned by Doron Rav Hon and his wife Sima.

The name Sphera reflects the holistic approach to wine-making with each element of the winery designed to harness the surrounding environment.

Doron studied viticulture in the Bourgogne, graduating at Domaine Jacques Prieur and going on to specialise in sparkling wines and chardonnay. Today, Doron has become one of the most respected winemakers in Israel. Minimal intervention defines Doron’s wine-making philosophy. He does very little during the wine making process in order to preserve the grape’s natural flavours allowing the grape to dictate the flavour of the wine. The results are impressive with the production of white wines that show great elegance.

Founded in 2012, this relatively new winery has earned several international awards from prestigious competitions and some of the top critics (including the Decanter World Wine Awards, Robert Parker Wine Advocate, Wall Street Journal, Julia Harding-MW and others).
