Collection: Bar Moar

Bar-Maor Winery was established by Rami Bar-Maor, who originally studied at the renowned Margalit Winery. Since 2008, he has been winegrowing at Israel's oldest wine region one of the most intriguing and unique wines of the Israeli wine industry. Originally Bar-Maor practiced architecture, a field requiring great passion and attention to detail and aesthetics. Bar-Maor worked for years alongside the famous sculptor Dani Karavan, experiencing how context and aesthetic values come together to create a work of art.  Bar-Maor's core values have a minimalist approach which expresses and captures wine that tells a story, a story pure and seductive of a place in time, honouring the balance created by nature and planted on Rendzina white chalk soils an ancient reminder from the sea of Thetis.  These core values, include no acid corrections, free run only with no pressing at all, no filtration and no cold stabilization, relying only on winter rains with no artificial irrigation. In the searing eastern Mediterranean, these practices have confounded the doubters, the roots of the vines having instinctively deepened further into the sub-soil locating water and natural nutrients highly beneficial to the creation of a vine with true expression and personality of the year of harvest and site specific, bringing high natural acidity, giving life and freshness so distinctive of Bar-Maor Winery.
